This morning, I went to Whole Foods to meet up and have brunch with T, and her boyfriend, R. I'd never met them before, but, because of some inspired work by the media, T had sent me a Facebook friend request about a week earlier. Nevermind that when I sent her a message two days ago to arrange for some quality time together, she responded, "Do I know you?" And don't pay attention to the fact that she might have only brought R along as extra muscle just in case things got assaulty and/or weird. In the end, everything worked out wonderfully. T eventually remembered who I was and R turned out to be boss and have a smile that Barry Manilow should write a song about. Plus, I experienced some new things (e.g. the Whole Foods brunch), and some even newer Facebook friends (e.g. latecomers B and M). And if that wasn't enough, our interactions this morning, which were prompted partly by earlier media exposure, were themselves chronicled by a different member of the media, S, who, as it turns out, is a pretty decent guy himself.
Relationships built. Memories created. Circle completed.
