We participated in the MS Walk today (BTW, there is still time to donate). When I finally crossed the finish line, B was there. It might have been an accident or coincidence, but his presence didn't surprise me. That's just how he is. He's always there. Later, as I was about to leave, he told me he really appreciated that I came out to walk this year. And I think he genuinely meant it. Just five days earlier, I had sent him a Facebook message letting him know that I'd be in town. He offered me a place to stay and invited me to participate in his family's church activities over the weekend. And now he was thanking me.Tomorrow, I am watching the morning session of the LDS general conference with B and his family. I am looking forward to it. I like to think about godly things and B's house provides that environment. B and his family are open to my endless questions, hypotheticals, and requests for more information. I appreciate this.
It's morning now. I tried and failed miserably in my attempt to finish this post last night. In the B household, all seems to be well. The family is fed, beds are being made, and the countdown to the beginning of general conference has begun. Meanwhile, I've been told "the shower is open if you want it." B has some decent qualities. Subtlety is not one of them.
